Capture Photography Festival is taking over Vancouver next month
Who doesn’t like to see a pretty picture or two? The Capture Photography Festival is set to return to Vancouver in April, and it’s bringing a whole lot of stuff with it! There are exhibitions, installations and much more. So here’s what you need to know before you start.
Launched in 2013, Capture has since grown into Western Canada’s largest photography festival. Local and international artists are showcased in a variety of ways, from free exhibitions to billboard takeovers around the city.

For exhibitions, a ton of art galleries in Metro Vancouver join us. The list ranges from group shows at the Vancouver Art Gallery, to indirect giving options at places like the Polygon Gallery, to solo shows at places like the Massy Arts Society. .
Moving on to public things, expect to see a wide array of billboards and other facilities. Our top pick in this range? A billboard in Richmond’s River District featuring the work of one of our favorite photographers, Yoshinori Mizutani.
This festival officially starts on April 1 and will continue until April 29. However, a good part of the exhibitions have their own schedules, so we suggest you click on the link below to find out more!
